Emma Paul Counselling & Psychotherapy

IFS-BASED ONLINE COUNSELLING FOR INDIVIDUALS AND COUPLES

A calm, supportive space to reconnect with yourself and your relationships

A space to feel safe, calm, and seen

Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may notice yourself repeating familiar patterns, feeling anxious or stuck, or navigating relationship challenges that leave you feeling confused, disconnected, or unsure of yourself.

Whatever you are facing, you do not have to face it alone.

I offer online counselling and psychotherapy in a gentle, private, and supportive space where every part of you is met with care. Through secure telehealth sessions, I work with clients across Australia and internationally, making support accessible wherever you are.

Holding space with care

My name is Emma, a counsellor and psychotherapist offering IFS-based online therapy for individuals and couples.

My work is warm, grounded, and deeply relational. I am committed to creating emotional safety first, so you can bring what is real without needing to edit, perform, or hold it all together.

I have completed Level 2 Internal Family Systems (IFS) training and hold Level 2 membership with The Australian Counselling Association. My practice is clinically grounded and ethically held, with an approach that is compassionate, non-pathologising, and depth-oriented.

I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, attachment patterns, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, and experiences that can leave people feeling disconnected from themselves or others.

Counselling can offer a sacred pause

A place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with who you are beneath the weight of stress, responsibility, and expectation

A steady and supportive way of beginning

In our sessions, you will be deeply listened to and met with warmth, respect, and genuine care.

I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, shaped around your needs, your goals, and what feels most supportive for you. We move at a pace that honours your nervous system and your lived experience, creating space for depth without pressure.

This is a space where nothing about you is too much or unwelcome.

Sessions are offered online via secure telehealth, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Appointments are available Monday to Thursday, 8am to 7pm.

A gentle, depth-oriented approach

My work integrates Internal Family Systems therapy with a person-centred, trauma-informed approach, supporting both individual and relationship work.

Internal Family Systems understands that we are made up of many parts, including protective strategies, wounded places, and inner resources, all organised around a deeper core. At your centre is a Self that is calm, clear, and capable of compassion, curiosity, and connection.

In individual work, this approach supports you to understand your inner world with care, helping patterns and emotions soften rather than be pushed away.

In relationship work, this same approach is applied relationally through Intimacy from the Inside Out. Couples are supported to recognise how their inner worlds shape the relationship, slow reactive cycles, increase emotional safety and self-responsibility, and rebuild trust and connection over time.

Rather than focusing on blame or surface-level problem solving, the work supports deeper understanding, empathy, and Self-led presence, both within yourself and between partners.

Beginning counselling can feel like a big step. It is okay to take your time.

If something here resonates, you are warmly invited to reach out. A complimentary 15-minute discovery call offers a gentle way to ask questions, sense into fit, and take a next step without pressure.

Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here.
